STANLEY NO.8 HUGE JOINTER PLANE – LARGEST MADE I have sold thousands of antique tools on eBay during the past 14 years with 100% positive feedback. So check what my customers say and feel confident you will get a quality vintage tool in ready to use condition. I HAVE MANY FINE ANTIQUE TOOLS LISTED IN MY OTHER AUCTIONS THIS WEEK SEE THE MANY DETAILED PHOTOS BELOW THE DESCRIPTION Here is a plane every woodworker and collector would want. For the woodworker it is a perfect plane to get a boards edge perfectly flat and straight. Thus it is called a jointer plane. Used to joint a board when wanting to join them together. This plane is in perfect condition and tuned-up ready for work. It is a 24” plane from the late 1940's or early 1950’s with a very heavy casting – weighing 9 lbs. It has a full length sharpened cutter that is 2-5/8” wide. I lapped the frog surface that mates the cutter to insure a perfect matching surface. It did not take much as it was already flat. I also made sure the cap iron mates the cutter so no chips clog in that spot. It has a full heavy coating of japanning bright and shiny. The rosewood handle and tall front knob is perfect with no chips or repairs and the original finish. It has the lg. brass adjuster wheel for the depth of cutter in crisp condition and turns smoothly. Also has the 1910 patent frog adjuster
