Fundraiser for Cancer Awareness: A Very Special thank you to all bidders that have participated in our past auctions! Due to overwhelming support for our organization, we have acquired several items from our generous donors to help raise money to promote cancer awareness! You are bidding on the vinyl LP soundtrack record 2001: A Space Odyssey signed by legendary filmmaker Stanley Kubrick! Kubrick has signed the album cover in black pen. The album cover is a gatefold with additional art and track listing. T is some general wear to the album such as rubbed edges and corners. The top right of the cover is split slightly. The bottom right corner of the record sleeve has been torn away. The record has not been graded aurally but appears to be in good condition. Features one of the greatest and most memorable film soundtracks of all time. 2001 was one of the first films to make extensive use of pre-recorded music. Kubrick masterfully blended a classical score with futuristic scenes of space travel, proving science fiction films could be serious works of art. Released by MGM Records.
