STANLEY Made in USA No 4 BAILEY SMOOTH PLANE c.1926 Type 13 This, the standard smooth plane by Stanley USA , is a No 4 Bailey plane and in good used condition. The body has had no cracks or rust and the rosewood handles have no cracks or ‘broken repaired’ marks. The original 2 inch iron is marked with the ‘Sweet Heart’ Made in USA logo and has almost full length left. Please look closely at the pictures. The nickel plating is missing from the lever cap (as usual) and the sole has got some heavy scoring which should not affect the plane in use. The body has one Patent date of April 19 th 1910 (for the frog adjustment). A great user plane. Stanley No4 Smooth Plane 9 inches long. (Smiths type 13) Weight when packed is 2000g.
