Shown is a STANLEY DOVETAIL PLANE. Made from 1912 to 1938 this plane has the Stanley " script" tm on the body, and Bodmer's patent dates on the opposite side. Nickel plating is 99+% overall with a small nick in the plating on the left rear corner of the skate, and some scratches w the fence attaches (See pictures). It comes with all its parts including four mint cutters (#'s 3, 4, 7 and 20 clearly stamped), two rods, two spur blocks, adjustable fence, depth stop and original instruction booklet (reprint of booklet also included). All the parts have 100% Nickel intact. The blade box is solid, and has 99% original label save for a 1/8" strip down the center which is a copy of original. The cardboard top has been rebuilt, but is solid. Box top label is a copy of an original. The bottom is solid and in near perfect condition. The dovetail diagram inside the box top is original, 100% intact save for a few nicks in the perimeter, and totally readable. I have owned five No.444's and this one is by far the best I have seen. A collector quality No.444 you would be proud to have in your collection.
