This is a Stanley 606 Bedrock Fore Plane, with flat sides. It is in good working condition with no breaks, tears, repairs, welds, rust, or gouges present. It has 90% of the Japanning remaining. It has received light to moderate use, but has very few pits, chips or scratches present. The cutter, which is marked with a Sweetheart Trademark beneath the notched Stanley Logo, has light pitting present. the lever cap has the tear drop bolt opening and is plated with the orange Bedrock notched Logo. the body of the plane has the Bedrock name forward of the knob and the patent date of April 19, 1910 aft of the frog. The high front knob and handle are in good condition with a heavy finish which shows a number of chips (in the finish) particularily on the top of the handle itself. T is no evidence of large chips in the wood, nor repairs of any kind, or other abuse. The corrugated bottom is in good condition with few scratches or chips. I can feel a couple small chips on the cutter mouth with my fingernail, but they are not big enough to be readily visible. This tool will make a valuable addition to your collection.
