STANLEY 278; This is a fine example of a most collectible item-one of Stanleys' most successful designs. Features a handy blade advance lever, and a keen edged type 1 blade dated 10-17-16. The blade cap screw has an early SW logo. Has ~ 98% shiny japanning, (maybe some light t/u) , is super clean and free of rust/damage. The label is ~85%. Both spurs, fence and depth stop assembly are correct. Haven't seen too many better than this piece. EXCELLENT-
