For auction is an antique Stanley #40 Scrub plane. It is marked Stanley Rule & Level Co on the blade and has a neat Stanley mark on the tightening knob on the lever cap. Also marked Stanley on the front and No. 40 behind the knob (see photo). Condition is pretty good, came with 2 front knobs and will send both along. The one installed more resembles the correct one shown in the book. Rear wood tote has some wear around the edges but is not cracked. Bottom has a small amount of pitting, but not too bad (see photo). Still in useable condition! This is a neat old plane that is much harder to find that your typical 4's and 5's and displays very nicely. Check out my other planes too ~ I will combine on shipping best I can!
