This is a nice clean scrub plane design for rapid removal of wood or for roughing in before finish planeing. It has a convex shaped cutter that is very sharp, plenty of length left. The Stanley mark on the plane is the mark for the 1910-20 period. There is some miner pitting near the Stanley mark, but the mark can still be seen clearly. The plane has about 85% of it's original Jappaning left on it, solid beech handle with some red staining, minor nicks and scratches. There is no cracks, a nice clean smooth bottom. The previous owner drilled and tapped two holes in the side that were used for a 45 degree guide at one time. We couldn't find the guide but the holes don't effect the use of this tool. A very nice user!
