Offering up for bidding at NO RESERVE is a Stanley Sweatheart NO. 5 Jack Plane in very good condition. This thing is nice, I will try to describe it was best as possible, please refer to the pictures. Plane retains over 90% of its original japaning, it appears there is a little paint spotting by the NO. 5 logo, barley worth mentioning. Patent date is "U.S. Pat APR-19-10". Sides have very minimal scratching, nearly perfect, one side has minor spotting and a couple dimples, very very minimal. Sole has minimal scratching from very little usage, leading edges has four small marks, back of sole very close to perfect. Mouth of the plane appears as it did from the factory, one small nick on the back edge. Lever cap in very good condition, very minor nick to left side of leading edge, might be hard to spot in the picture. Blade very clean, front side with sweatheart logo nearly perfect with very minor scratching from light use, back side of blade has some spotting nothing major. Frog retains almost all japaning, brass knob very clean, functions as it should, Lateral adjustment lever very clean and functions nice. Front knob very good condition, rod and retainer screw very clean with minor scratching on knob.
