Star deer slayer knife,( similar to a case xx folding hunter),i'm listing it as used, but it retains it's factory edge, has no wear,however box and knife show it's age, made in japan, in probably 70s or early 80s. front tang reads" star handcrafted" rear tang reads " 3330 stainless" also " japan" is inked, not stamped on rear tang.blade is stiff, but doesn't have a strong snap when closing, sounds to me to be "slapping"against backspring when closing, on tip of blade, and does have a spot on backspring where tip is rubbing, it doesn't have any side to side wobble.inked scene on blade front nice ,not scratched or rubbed,there is some pitting and speckling on bolsters, also scratches, probably from bouncing around in box, wood handles are nice, no dings or cracks, but are scratched also from storage in box, brass spring liners are dirty and dark, box is scratched, chipped and dinged all over ,latch works fine, hinges on back need tightened, and are attached with screws.label on box lid is bent slightly on right side, but is tight..box interior is dirty, and dusty, has paper pcs. in it. i have cleaned the bolsters ,not much, and oiled it.it would display well, REMEMBER SOME PITTING SCRATCHING SPECKLING ON KNIFE, BOX IS CHIPPED DINGED SCRATCHED,i will email all questions,i will ship free to continental U.S. only,no international sales,
