You are bidding on original one-of-a-kind Star Trek #1 color guides from 1967. This color guide is probably the rarest Star Trek comic book collectible available. It was in the files of Dell/Gold Key/Western publishing from 1967 until the Poughkeepsie plant closed at which time it was given to my great uncle who worked t and then passed on to me. This is original water color artwork on silver proofs of used to create the colors to be used in the first issue of Gold Key's classic Star Trek series. This item will probably never come up for sale on ebay again as it is highly collectible.The story is entitled "The Planet of No Return". It is comprised of two parts. The first part runs from page 1 to page 14. And the second part runs from page 19 to page 30. I am assuming the middle section is ads, which are not included. Condition: The two part story is complete. The pages are watercolors on approx. 6.5" x 9" silver proofs on what looks to be 2 ply art board, except for the first page, which at 8.75" tall makes room for the indicia at the bottom of the printed version of the comic book. Numbers corresponding to 4-color process colors are written in pencil on the pages (visible in the scans below). The pages are handcut by scissors so the edges are rarely even or uniform.
