This is a Star Trek TOS communicator in working order. Very rare to find now, these were produced over ten years ago now and are one of the most popular communicators with Star Trek collectors because they are very nicely made props. Forget the Playmates etc, this is a quality item, sadly no longer available. For example the flip up grille on this one is made of metal and they come with a clock, a calculator, all of which flips up in the center console, and also a tape recording device so you can record your own 'Beam me up Scotty' or other phrases, or you can just record something from the TV series on audio. These have a nice chrome effect edge on them and the plastic parts are chromed finish, it also makes the classic chirp when you flip open the top, and has flashing LEDs. Great fun and a very rare item to find! They are a good full size prop.
