Star Trek USS Enterprise Original Bridge Carpet 1960s As Walked On By Captain Kirk And His Crew **************************A Great Christmas Present ******************** On the 27th of June 2002 in Los Angeles Bob Justman the Assistant Director and Associate Producer of Star Trek (The Original Series) held a auction of Star Trek Props and costumes. A group of Star Trek fans bought the last piece of carpet removed from the bridge of the Starship USS Enterprise NCC1701 in 1969. This piece of carpet is now over 40 years old and had been on the set of every Star Trek episode from 1966 to 1969 in the upper deck support stations circle area w Uhura, Spock and Scotty sat. It was removed by John Jefferies the set decorator and brother of Matt Jefferies the shows Art Director. It had been kept since 1969 in their aircraft hanger locker along with many other Star Trek (TOS) props and costumes that were being auctioned by Profiles in History. The carpet was supplied with a letter from John Jefferies stating that it was the last piece of carpet removed from the USS Enterprise set. The carpet being sold is a one inch piece mounted on a 14x11 inch board with a copy of the letter from John Jefferies. Also included are pictures of the original crew with one of the mounts.
