This set features four coasters with the imperial design as pictured. Each coaster set is a beautifully handcrafted original piece that is signed and dated by our internationally collected artist. Each tile is sanded to remove sharp edges. A protective finish is applied to the outside surface to enhance the beautifully rich color of the slate stone. Then each is hand-carved with its unique design. The natural stone surface that is revealed during the carving process provides a wonderful contrast. Beautiful Natural Slate Stone Coasters Look Great In Any Home Decor. The raw surface of the carved slate naturally absorbs moisture, and the weight of the stone prevents the coaster from adhering to the bottom of a glass. A unique rubberized foam, that is easily cleaned and dried in case of accidental spills, has been applied to the bottom of each coaster to protect delicate furniture surfaces.
