Watch the season that exploded onto the small screen following the 1994 movie Stargate. Colonel Jack O'Neill and Daniel Jackson reunite and are assigned to command the Stargate program under General George Hammond. Joined by Captain Samantha Carter and Teal'c the SG-1 team searches the galaxy beyond Abydos for Goa'uld and begin acquiring advanced alien technologies. SG-1 also meets the Tollan, an advanced race of humans looking for a new home and discovers a second Stargate in Antarctica on Earth. Near the end of season one Dr. Jackson is transported to a parallel dimension, w he witnesses Apophis' invAsian of Earth and the destruction of the S.G.C. Taking this information back to his own Earth (including a set of Stargate coordinates from which the attack was launched). Before the Stargate is shut down permanently by order of Senator Kinsey, O'Neill and his team act against orders and go through the gate to Daniel's coordinates. The SG-1 team find themselves on a Goa'uld attack ship headed for Earth . The universe is much bigger, much more dangerous place than they ever believed.

Samantha Carter is promoted to Major and has begun experiencing deeper feelings for O'Neill. She encounters herself in a double universe and is forced to consider what life would be like had she not joined the military.

At the end of the season the Asgard's reliance on advanced technology becomes their own downfall when their galaxy is plagued by Replicators.
