drum 'n' bass, dub and downtempo electro tracks from the UK label, Blue Planet Recordings. State of the Nu-Art features an eclectic selection of material from Plug (a.k.a. Wagon Christ and Luke Vibert), Witchman, Jammin' Unit (a.k.a. Cem Oral of Air Liquide) and German experimentalist, Marco Zaffarano. Two of the funkiest moments come from Wai Wan's dark and menacing, orchestral hip-hop cut, "Revenge" and from the supremely funky and lyrically on-point, "Push Came To Shove" by The Next Wavelength featuring MCM, TKO & The Verse.

State of the Nu-Art represents the next phase in the (unfortunately) overdone "electronica" compilation game offering a strong collection that is innovative and diverse, highlighting the pioneers (old and new) of the "cutting edge" electronic underground.
