It carries no Law Enforcement authority whatsoever and does not resemble any current badge used anyw by any agency, and it neither implies nor imparts any police or law enforcement powers or authority. This badge is being sold as an historical collectible only, and is in full compliance with all stated eBay policies relating to listing a badge for auction. Offered for auction is an obsolete State Secret Service, N.J. Deputy Chief badge. It is marked with the words "STATE SECRET SERVICE, N.J" and "DEPUTY CHIEF" and has the New Jersey State Seal in the center. The back of the badge is engraved with the name "John Adler". The badge measures 2 3/4" by 2 1/4". The badge has an old Fork Catch, and came in a black leather badge wallet (included with the badge), which appears to have been read more
