Here I have a large steam engine for restoration, I was told it may have powered a boat but that's only hear say. this is a large single cylinder steam engine that I have ( loosely) bolted togeather and still requires a few nuts/bolts. the only other thing I can see that needs making is the gland nut which screws to the bottom of cylinder to hold the piston rod central. please see pics. This also has a letter s on the valve cover but I am not sure if it is a stuart cylinder/engine or not. The flywheel is 6'' by 1 3/8'' wide length of engine is 12 1/2'' long, width is 9 1/2'' height is 17'' high and cylinder is approx. 4 1/4'' high. This is a very heavy engine so would prefer collection from me in Portsmouth or arrange your own courier or I could at a push send at buyers own risk with insurance to cover my ass against any damage or loss. The choice is yours. JUST INCASE ANYONE'S INTERESTED THIS WEIGHS 18.5 KGS bore size is 2.5 inch or 63mm
