Your looking at one of the finest and largest Steam Engine plants. Ive never seen a plant like this before. I had this for over 20 years. I will describe this engine as much as i can. Its a very solid large copper boiler. Has lots of nice decorative hand made knobs. The two top doors can be opened to view the inner fittings. This boiler is designed for coal fired. It appears to not be used with coal. Ive tested this plant wither a gas burner (included)and it works great. The boiler has a loud whistle. The pressure gauge does not seem functional. The bottom of the boiler has drawers (decorative). THe bottom 3 knobs can slide out to place the coal. When firing the boiler it takes a few mins to provide lots of steam. I have not connected the boiler to the engine. Ive tested the engine with a air compressor and it works great. There is also a governor which you will have to connect to the pulley via the flywheel. I have not connected this. The boiler and engine will need to be screwed to the base. Im including a burner, full tank of butane/propane mix with a connector to the burner.Two knobs are missing from the boiler, (1 for the grate and 1 for a door). On the back of the boiler there is a hand-graved brass name-plate with the word "WILLIAM". Anyone with any info on this will be greatly appreciated. Appears to be from the 1920's The pulley for the steam engine will need a belt which will be connected to govenor and flywheel. You will have to obtain a belt for this which wont be difficult. The engine has brass lubricator, two oil cups which is mounted on top. Please note that the copper tube will be disconnect from the engine for safe shipping. You will have to resolder the copper tube to the engine. Buy it now for $1200! Please check out the video. Height: Base to highest point -25" Length of boiler = 16" Height of boiler = 12" Weight of boiler = 21lbs Length of engine 13" (not including flywheel and coppertube) Width of engine 7" with flywheel. Largest flywheel 7" Smaller flywheel 6 1/2"Small pulley = 3" Weight of Steam engine 12lbs. Base = 6lbs Dimensions of base = 19" x 18" Shipping will be in two seperate boxes. Total cost to US bidders will be $97. Alaska and Hawaii please inquire. THE DIAMETER OF COPPER BOILER IS 4 INCH. THE LENGTH OF BOIILER IS APPROX. 11 1/2 INCH. THIS BOILER IS SIMILAR TO STUART BABCOCK. ITS 3 LARGE COPPER TUBE UNDER THE BOILER. BOILER HAS BEEN TESTED WORKS GREAT. BOILER IS MADE OF SOLID COPPER.
