The gentleman lived in the West Midlands, being employed as an engineer with the Timken bearing factory. This negative comes from a batch of 800+ some of which were kept in a large cardboard box individually housed in a glassine envelope, with the remainder filed in full-page glassine negative holders. The majority of the negatives are of unidentified steam engines, trains and/or related locations, none were dated or captioned. The time period probably runs throughout the 1950s, but there may be some from a little earlier and a few others taken in the early 1960s. I have tried to research each image from the information contained thereon, such as engine serial numbers and names of railway stations from signs and boards.
