*** PLEASE SEE MY OTHER LISTINGS FOR INTERESTING SLIDES & EPHEMERA *** *** I WILL COMBINE SHIPPING COSTS FOR ALL MULTIPLE PURCHASES *** (Please check before making payment) General Information Old Steam Railway Negative LILLA (approx) 85mm x 55mm This negative comes from a very large collection of photographs taken by an amateur photographer and railway enthusiast during the period from the late 1940s through to the early 1960s. The gentleman lived in the West Midlands, being employed as an engineer with the Timken bearing factory. This negative comes from a batch of 800+ some of which were kept in a large cardboard box individually housed in a glassine envelope, with the remainder filed in full-page glassine negative holders. The majority of the negatives are of unidentified steam engines, trains and/or related locations, none were dated or captioned. The time period probably runs throughout the 1950s, but there may be some from a little earlier and a few others taken in the early 1960s. I have tried to research each image from the information contained thereon, such as engine serial numbers and names of railway stations from signs and boards. I have also added, where possible, to the General Information shown below, a possible location which is purely my best guess and should not be taken as being 100% accurate. For example,
