Early 1900s steamship / steamboat advertising booklet - measures appx. 6 by 4 inches with 20 pages, altho' the pages are not numbered; front cover reads: THE NEW STEEL STEAMSHIP / MANITOU / LAKE MICHIGAN / & LAKE SUPERIOR / TRANSPORTATION CO. in black and red lettering on a light brown background; the first page lists the names of 6 officers of the company and GENERAL OFFICES / RUSH AND NORTH WATER STREETS, CHICAGO, ILL.; the second page has a reading from LONGFELLOW / HIAWAITHA; t is lots of advertising and ten (10) dark shaded photographs including one exterior and 9 interior of the steamship; condition is near excellent - the front and back covers are "dusty" from storage; the back cover is shorter than the pages - looks to be normal altho' a first thought would be that it was trimmed back; has some minor discoloration on the front cover - a nice early booklet with no publication date - could be either before or after 1900.
