Steiff 33cm Enzian Bear No 1278 of a Limited Edition of 1500 that was exclusive to Germany, Austria and Switzerland This Enzian Bear is a beautiful dark grey/blue Mohair bear with embossed Enzian Flowers on its feet and it has a beautiful scarf around its neck with a metal ezian flower design clipped on. The Enzian flower is native to Europe where its roots still provide gentian bitters or brandy, a supposed digestive and appetite stimulant. One of the best is the Swiss schnapps called Enzian , which is also the German word for gentian.
