Carrie by Stephen King Edition : Doubleday,1974 (only date shown). First edition, later printing. W16 in gutter of last printed page, $10.95 price on jacket flap, red boards with gold lettering, and ISBN # on copyright page. A scarce early printing, not the unpriced book club edition. (In searching for Doubleday publications with $10.95 pricing, it seems this book was published between 1975 and 1982. Also, I have seen editions of Carrie with $16.95 price on flap that had “10” lowest number in print sequence—so, my copy would be before number row was added and earlier than a 10 th printing.) Condition : Book is very good -- Binding is near-square and tight. Light wear to boards. Top right corner of front board and first several pages are slightly curved inward, as if something heavy had been sitting on the corner, board corner is creased. Interior has a few pinhead-size spots. No other significant wear. No stamps, stickers, writing, reading dog-ears, or remainder marks. Dust jacket is good -- Small chips at spine ends and corners, edge rubbing and creases. Two tears/chips and stains on lower spine area. Jacket is protected with a removable mylar cover.
