STEPHEN KING'S THE STAND PORTFOLIO BY BERNIE WRIGHTSON This is a signed limited edition portfolio, "Stephen King's THE STAND A Portfolio of Illustrator Bernie Wrightson", published in 1991 by Glimmer Graphics. The portfolio offered is #743/1200 and includes the signed bonus plate "Randall Flagg" signed by Berni Wrightson. The portfolio contains 13 plates measuring 13" x 17" in black and white on heavy glossy stock. This is part of a large collection of portfolios, prints and posters from the late 70's to the early 90's and featuring all of the preeminent artists of the day like Bernie Wrightson, Jeff Jones, Neal Adams, Olivia, Vaughn Bode, Guido Crepax and many many more. Most are limited signed editions and many are still factory sealed. All are offered with no reserve! Please allow 3 - 5 business days for funds to clear before shipping. In 1969 Joseph Parente opened the first shop of its kind, one devoted entirely to comics, comic art, pulps, tear sheets and everything else in the collectible world of the comics. During its 27 year run The Little Nemo Shop hosted appearances and signings by all of the best artists of the day. In fact, The Little Nemo Shop became a hang out for many of the artists who lived in the NY area. Howie Chaykin and Walt Simonson played handball on the wall along side our store. Joe Parente was t for the first of the Phil Sueling comic conventions and at the first San Diego Con. During the 80's and 90's Joe acted as the American liason for the Prato Comic Con in Italy and over the years travelled t with John Buscema, Will Eisner, and Jim Steranko. In the summer of 1977 Joe published the 1st of 4 landmark catalogs of original comic art and American illustrations. The art you see in these auctions is from Joe's collection that has spanned well over 45 years of collecting, selling and loving the comics and comic art in all its forms. Enjoy!
