These are way too cool for words. I am offering a pair of the most extraordinary salt and pepper shakers I have ever seen. They are kind of pumpkin or melon-shaped, with the center looking like the center of a composite flower. Wrapped around the body are raised, applied floral motifs consisting of an open flower, could be an aster, a daisy, or a chrysanthemum; and two partially-opened flowers. The stems wrap down to become legs, with two leaves also forming the base. On the bottom are handles to use for shaking the condiments. UNBELIEVABLE! Almost 1 1/2" tall, about 2" wide. Marked "Sterling 950" on the bottom. One has four holes, one has six. These would go well with Tiffany Chrysanthemum, Gorham, Alvin Chrysanthemum or any of the ornate floral patterns such as Repousse' or Bridal Rose. I am listing lots of neat and interesting pieces this week so please see my other auctions to save on shipping.
