I had these appraised as Wallace Sterling, however, when I tried to find a picture of the mark, it was The Webster Company which came up. This company was founded in 1869 and now are part of Reed and Barton. This particular set of demitasse cups/saucers/holders is circa 1920. The porcelain insert is not marked, however, has gold bands around rim. Both the saucers and holders are marked sterling, both having a W over a C with an arrow going thru to right. My camera does not pick up fine pictures, so mark is not photographed. The holders have a punched out design just below the rim and the handle. The cups are perfect, save for one which has a 3/4" almost imperceptible crack and another which has a small indent to bottom (this does not affect cup). The saucers show useage, and two have small dings in the center. Overall for their age I would rate a high 5 on a scale of 1-10. I try to underestimate, not to overly describe, so the customer is pleased with results upon receipt. The 12 sterling pieces weigh 7.2 ounces/205 grams. This will ship at 2 pounds securely packed with packing/insurance included. PLEASE READ MY PAYMENT/SHIPPING INFORMATION AND EMAIL ANY QUESTIONS PRIOR BIDDING, SO T ARE NO SURPRISES AT END OF AUCTION, THANK YOU.
