Large, 40 reg oz weight horse racing trophy dated 1916. Marked sterling with unweighted bottom. Height is 12 3/8" by 12 3/8" wide. Reads Iroquois Hotel Cup Fort Erie Ont. August 9-1916 Won by Langdon Owned by J.B. Respess. T are some slight dings which can probably be worked out by a professional. T is a slight crease on the front foot, as shown. Made by Whiting, Lion and W mark and marked 8 pts. Local estate find and great for decorating. T is information on the Fort Erie Race Track on the WEB. Also, Jerome B. "Rome" Respess of Ohio was the owner of Wintergreen, winner of the 1909 Kentucky Derby. Buyer pays 10.80 double boxed S&H with insurance required and extra. MOs, personal checks and PayPal accepted.
