Up for auction is a sterling silver fish knife & fork set.
I believe these date from about 1920 to 1925, based on the period when the family that previously owned them "came into money" and made the bulk of their house furnishings purchases.
The knife is pierced and has a vining floral pattern, probably bluebells. The reverse has less engraved detail than the front. The Fork is similarly engraved and pierced.
Both pieces are marked Sterling in the margin just above the handles. Handles are probably bone, but I have had someone say they might be ivory or carved tusk of some sort. I am not expert in identifying the difference. Knife handle has fine cracks, but the surface is smooth to the touch.
These weigh 240 grams total. I would call the condition good. (but I am not an expert)

To answer a couple questions: The knife is 12 and 3/4 inches and the fork is 10 and 1/4 inches in length. Neither piece has nicks or scratches. And yes, I can send some additional photos if you request.
