This is a lovely Sterling silver tea set made in Sheffield England by Silversmith Manoah Rhodes in 1922. All three pieces are clearly hallmarked with a G.S. Co. symbol (Goldsmith and Silversmith Co.), a crown (Sheffield England), the left walking lion (passant guaranteeing Sterling), And a lower case e dating them in the year 1922. Each are also hallmarked on the bottom with Goldsmiths and Silversmiths Company, 112 Regent Street and matching serial numbers along with what I believe to be a leaf. The teapot lid is hallmarked with the M.R. of maker Manoah Rhodes. In addition they are inscribed with some other numbers. I do not know the name of this pattern although they appear to be a transitional design from art nouveau to art deco. The teapot pics will show a dent/crease to one side and the sugar has a small dent to one side (also shown). The creamer has a couple of small dings around the neck (hardly noticeable). All could be removed by a silversmith. T are many listed on the internet that do such repairs. They are quite charming as they are though. The weight on the three pieces is approx. 26 1/2 troy ounces. I have started the bidding at $.99 and although I cringe at the thought, I have set the reserve at what I can get locally for scrap.
