1st Place 1904 Three handled Sterling Yachting Club Trophy Cup won by "MAITA" and presented by the St. Regis Yacht Club in New York - Just in time for Christmas - If you haven't found that special gift for a significant other just yet, is an opportunity to give them a turn of the century, Arts and Crafts Sterling Antique Trophy cup to add to their collection or accent their surroundings. I don't know much about this one. The cup is in fairly good shape with one exception worth mentioning. T is a 1/4 inch chip in the upper left hand corner of the red enameled banner (please see photo). I mention this out of accuracy for the winning bidder otherwise the cup is an outstanding piece of Rooseveltian artistry. The Saint Regis Yacht Club was founded in 1897 in New York. The Trophy is 102 years old and weighs more than a pound and a half. It stands approx. 6 & 3/4 inches high, has three (3) handles. On the bottom reads the following: John Frick (I believe this is the maker) New York, Sterling, A2669B, Patented 3 1/4 pints.Under the first section, the St. Regis Yacht Club encircles an enameled red and white pennant flag or banner. The second section reads FIRST PRIZE 1904. The last sections reads WON BY "MAITA" . . . . . and t you have it. I will try and answer your questions as quickly as possible. Also, no handling fees. Whatever it costs to box the item up and set it on a shipping scale shall be the actual cost. Unless you pick it up, insurance is mandatory on this one. Buyer must contact Seller within three days from close of auction to confirm payment details and payment must be received within 7 days from close of auction, otherwise the item shall be re-listed at a later date for some other lucky ebayer.
