Sterling silver 835 crystal swan master salt cellar dip

Up for bid is this elegant sterling silver and crystal salt master. It measures approximately 4-1/2 inches long by 4 inches tall. Its hallmark is half worn off being located on the swan's back right wing at the point w one would put their thumb to open the salt; however, I am fairly certain it is ALBO 835. When I purchased this master, I also purchased a double open salt very similar in style, and it was clearly marked with ALBO 835, and the markings visible on this master match up with that. (This double salt is also being listed.) I understand that "835" was a European mark used for sterling in the early 1900's. The sterling silver parts of the swan are its head, elongated neck and moveable wings. T is a lot of detail in the silver and the wings have a rose design. The neck seems firmly attached and is slightly to the left of midline if you are looking down into the salt. The wings also seem firmly attached and move easily. The left wing has a little "jiggle;" the right is firm. The wings close completely if you lift the swan's left wing up slightly over the crystal rim. I have polished the silver once, and it really shined, but it could probably use another polishing. The crystal is in excellent condition with no chips, flea bites, cracks, etc., visible to my eye. It feels smooth to touch. I don't see any evidence of wear on the bottom. This is a beautiful vintage master salt and would make a lovely addition to your table! Please email with any questions.
