This is the American Freedom Box by Franklin Mint. The box was crafted out of pure Sterling Silver. My Grandfather bought this box directly from the Franklin Mint and eventually he gave the box to me. The stamp on the bottom of the box is 1976, the year the box was made. This particular box has never had any items inside and has never been displayed. It has been inside the original containment box and stored in his safe, and then mine. This box is in perfect condition and the only flaw would be some minor tarnish which could be removed if desired. This item is very rare for a Franklin Mint production. It was of course a very limited edition to begin with, but beyond that they are hard to come by or even to find information about. The dimensions of this box are 5'' x 3.5'' x 2.25'' . The top of the box has an incredibly detailed bald eagle sitting atop the American Flag. Around the sides are four different depictions of our founding fathers speaking at important historical events. Among these four scenes is more beautiful engraving/stamping. The inside is lined with a very rich, blue velvet. I tried to take very detailed pictures of the box, however, the pictures do not come close to how gorgeous it looks in real life.
