This is for an old sterling silver armorial desk seal from 1911. The seal has a armorial crest on the matrix which shows a horses head surrounded by the Latin phrase IN TE SPES. It carries a full set of English sterling silver hallmarks for 1911 with a makers mark C.E.T for Charles Edwin Turner. It is also inscribed on one side of the handle with the date Jan 18th 1913. The last image shows the impression of the seal in plasticine. The seal has some splitting just around the very edge of the matrix at the bottom as you can see, but the handle is clean and it displays well. It measures 90mm tall.
