This sterling asparagus fork produced by the Alvin Corporation in approximately 1910 is unique in that has enameling in various shades of green applied to the handle. This is a technnique used to emulate the more fussy Victorian period of the past. Some of the enamel has rubbed off. I believe this is the Alvin Orient pattern. The fork is about 9 1/2" long and about 3" wide at the top. It is not monogrammed. Aside from the rubbed enamel, the piece appears to be in good condition. Thanks for looking.
