Hello, The first thing that needs to be said is in regard to the accompanying photos. I decided Not to polish this set prior to taking the photos for this listing. The reason for this decision is simply that I wanted people to see this flatware the same way I saw it. In the box, having been stored for a great number of years due to probate issues. This set of Sterling was custom ordered in 1949 and delivered in early 1950 to it's original and only owner prior to my purchase at the estate sale. It was made by Fine Arts and titled Tranquility. It is a very simple pattern which uses form and a single, simple raised center line on the viewing (top) of each piece to display the natural beauty of the Sterling itself. This is very substantial Sterling, meaning that it is heavy and solid in construction. I had to photograph this set in almost no light because it is so brilliant. Just think, this set has been a box for at least 7 years. It was not polished or tended too in any way and it still shines and reflects light so dramatically that it is difficult to capture a picture!! This set is not dinged, excessively scratched, bent or discolored. No bent tines on the forks, no blue over heat marks, nothing. It could use some polishing. The box has use scratches but it is not seriously broken. With this listing I included two photos of the original order for this sterling. The photo of the upper right corner shows the phone number. They were still using letter prefixes! The other photo is of the bottom right corner which shows the price of this sterling in 1950. $ 5,447 and change. Yep $ 5,447 dollars in 1950, I would hate to order this same set tomorrow. The set consists of 12 each: teaspoons,salad forks,dinner forks,and knives. One Meat fork, Two large serving spoons.
