Lovely Vintage 76 Piece Set of Sterling Silver Flatware. This exquisite service for 12 is marked "sterling" but has no maker's mark. Most of the set is in great condition with some minor overall scratching. One tablespoon and one teaspoon each has a tiny pit mark. Several of the knives have a MORE SERIOUS FLAW and I don't know whether or not they will be easy to repair. Seven of the twelve stainless knife blades are not fitting properly into their sterling handles. It appears as though the interior material used to fill the hollow handles has expanded to push the blades out. Please be sure to see photos #6 & #7. This otherwise beautiful set includes: 12 knives (7 with issues) 9 1/2" each, 12 dinner forks 7 3/8" each, 12 dessert forks 6"each, 12 tablespoons 7 1/4" each, and 24 teaspoons 6" each. The serving pieces include: 3 serving spoons 8 1/4" each, 1 berry spoon? 6",and 1 butter knife 7 1/2". T are no monograms or removals. The weight of the set, not including the knives, is 4 5/8 lbs. The weight of the set, including the knives, is 6 1/4 lbs. Thanks for your interest!
