finally I have got round to sorting out some of my family's collections and inheritance. I will be listing loads of bits and pieces over the next months I need to have a massive clear out as I am now funding my youngest son's return to University (massive fees) and raising my granddaughter (a settlement was finally reached but he has to stay the other side of the world).

This is another from our collection. Sterling silver plain fob medal. It is round with leaf design embellishment at top under the bale and at bottom. In the centre is a sheild. The fob is unengraved. It has full hallmarks Anchor (Birmingahm) Lion passant and date letter Z (I think 1949) and maker's mark : J.F.

SIZE approx 2.5 cm round.

AGE: As indicated I think 1949

WEIGHT: approx 7.5 gr

CONDITION: in overall very good condition for its age. There is some minimal scatching commensurate with age (I think easily removed with jeweller's paste). It might however benefit from a gentle clean (I have left this for new owner).

A really good quality fob medal. Nice addition to a collection.

now for the nitty gritty:

I try very hard to describe clearly everything about the items I list including faults and to take good photographs.

I will always try to answer any questions to the best of my ability
