This is a very ornate, hand-tooled, engraved cigarette case made of .950 sterling silver in Japan. The case is 3 3/8" wide X 4 1/2" high X 3/8" thick and it is totally covered front, back, and sides with the 'Vitruvian Scroll' pattern which was popular during and following the post WWII allied occupation of Japan. The case is monogrammed on the front with the letters: 'MWR' and is stamped inside: '.950 Sterling.' T is an engraving on the inside that reads, 'Tokyo 1947' which dates purchase of this item and helps confirm it as Japanese. The sterling strap that holds the cigarettes in place is made of expandable links and unhooks at each end. The case weighs 4 1/2 ounces on my postal scale ( about 4.1 troy ounces). Condition is very good and quality of workmanship is exquisite.

Shipping in the US will cost up to $2.50 for USPS First Class (2-3 days) + insurance (required) based on the final price.
