Up for auction is an very old piece. I received this from an acquaintance, well into his 70's who indicated this had been his grandmother's. This is a Lovely old perfume bottle, with sterling silver floral overlay. I've tried toshow all angles - it's a bit difficult to photograph, so I've tried with flash and without. It measures about 3" tall and about 2 1/4" across it's body. The stopper is about 1" across. The stopper is an opaque glass, with raised relief design that coordinates with the silver overlay floral design. The stopper has some old cork on it which has deteriorated just a bit, but it still fits snugly enough into the bottle so that if you turn it over, it stays in. T is a very hard to read mark on the bottom of the bottle on one of the overlay silver sections (I tried to photograph it in one of the close up pictures, though difficult to get a close up of, even on macro setting). I can make out "STERLING" but cannot read the rest. It is in very nice condition, but I do notice some cracks (see the yellow arrows I placed in one of the pictures. However, they are kind of hidden by the angle and the sterling overlay. Likewise t are hairline cracks in the bottle opening w the stopper goes, but this little beauty is structurally sounds...all intact, and no chips. It's so adorable if it doesn't sell I am keeping it to display in my living room as it compliments my Mission style décor. But enough about me...back to the bottle! LOL!... This is just a really pretty piece with nice detail that you don't find that often. The bottle is clean, no perfume residue to speak of. Winning bidder shall pay $6 shipping in USA.
