On the top, the Royal crowned coat of arms of Monseigneur le Grand Dauphin, son of Louis XIV (1661-1711) who get married with Marie Anne Christine de Bavière (Prussia / Germany). Made in Germany circa 1890. The item is hallmarked with the German mark for 800/1000 silver and the maker's mark. Of good quality, not thin repoussé silver but rather thick and resistant. This frame is made for hanging on the wall as well as placed on a table.
