The Simpson, Hall, Miller & Company was founded in 1866 in Wallingford, Connecticut and was well known for the quality of their Britannia Ware. Simpson, Hall, Miller & Company was contracted by William Rogers, Jr. to market and manufacture his line of Rogers "Eagle Brand" silverplate, in 1878. In 1890 they started a Sterling Silver Division, which quickly became known for quality and design work. They became a part of the International Silver Company in 1898. This Antique Solid Sterling Silver Repousse Art Nouveau Compote is identified by the Simpson, Hall, Miller & Company Touch mark, Sterling, and C4106. Acquired at an Estate Sale this Antique Solid Sterling Silver Repousse Art Nouveau Compote is in very good condition with a slight deformation on the base lip.
