This beautiful pattern was patented in 1895 and is so popular it is still an active pattern. This is an old and lovely set of tongs and shows it in the heavy weight and excellent detail. It is marked with the Gorham hall marks and is in the Chantilly Pattern. The Tongs measures 4.25 long and is in very fine condition. Also see other serving pieces we are offering separately including an olive and relish fork, carving set and extra spoons.
This fine 19th and early 20th century collection of antiques and heirlooms comes from a Eugene, Oregon estate. The lady is elderly and has had to move to assisted care due to her health. She has collected fine porcelains and Cut Glass herself, as well as carefully preserving the lovely antiques handed down from prior generations. We present her lovely items with pleasure and consider it a great privilege to offer these fine pieces to you.
