This is a beautifully made sterling silver tea set made during the transitional period when Siam was re-named Thailand. As a result, some of the pieces are marked Siam and others, Thailand. decorative motifs are traditional, with deity in reserves and flame borders. Lid finials are elephants. The set consists of two pots, sugar and creamer with sugar tong, a pair of tea strainers with drip pots (5.5 t.oz each) and the sterling tray. Overall weight is approximately 100 troy oz. The tray measures: 21 1/2" overall x 12 wide. The pots measure 8 1/2" and 7 1/2" high. Condition: One small dimple next to handle on one pot (see photo).
