The is a Sterling Type F Siren manufactured by the Sterling Siren Fire Alarm Co., Inc. of Rochester, NY. The Type F siren was a multi-use siren marketed as a traffic, call, start and stop work signal, or burglar alarm. The siren was available with different voltages. This appears to be a 116 volt model. The unit has overall dimensions of 13" x 12-1/4" x 10-1/2" and weighs 18lbs. I purchased the siren to use in a display, but have decided not to use it. The siren has not been bench tested.
