We are pleased to offer this sterling silver hair receiver by the famous silversmith William B. Kerr, circa 19th Century. Piece is of great quality, with wonderful engraving on lid, monogrammed as shown. Hair receiver could be used for intended purpose, or as a wonderfully decorative box or conversation piece. Hallmarked as shown with "Sterling", the model #, and Kerr's hatchet hallmark. Side of lid is also marked "Sterling". Piece measures 4.5" wide x 3 1/4" tall, and weighs a hefty 5.7 troy ounces. Receiver is in as found estate fresh condition with a few light dents to body and a ding on the side of the lid, all which could be easily repaired.
