Gorgeous Steuben Glass large Owl designed by Donald Pollard in 1955. This pared down silhouette perfectly depicts Steuben's Mid-Century emphasis on the Modernist creeds of truth to materials. This big owl stands an impressive 5" tall and is in MINT condition with no chips, flea bites, cracks or repairs. Some minor wear on base is all that shows its vintage age. Owl is created from highly polished glass and delicately frosted glass about his wide open eyes. He is hand signed Steuben on his base. Hard to find a true Mid-Century example of this great owl in such pristine condition. This great owl can still be purchased from Steuben Glass at a cost of $975.00.
