Knife is rock solid from tip to but cap because of its robust construction with an extra thick 6mm blade going all the way inside handle, unlike most of the knives with a rode welded tang. Blade of this knife is the result of hours and hours of forging. Steve William hand forged this beautiful blade with 1095 and 15N20 high carbon steels forged in a beautiful rain drop pattern. Not many custom makers can keep such pattern of layers upon layers flowing all the way to the edge, creating a saw blade effect at microscopic level which allows the blade to keep cutting for longer period of time when other blades have dulled. Extra thick 6 mm blade has been gives excellent heat treatment and blade is oil quenched. Rockwell hardness of this gorgeous blade along its edge is 59 and along the spine is 42-45. Overall length of this unique & elegant knife is 12.90" and the length of the blade is 7.50 inches . Blade has superb hand grinds on both sides with top side left with a false edge. Spine of the blade has a beautiful filework. Handle of this gorgeous knife is made of most prestigious SAMBAR STAG ANTER, camel bone and slices of walnut burl with gorgeous spacers of brass and fiber, creating exquisite detail and beauty. Knife is complimented with a fantastic hand made guard of layered of walnut burl and brass fastened together with brass pins and strong epoxy for life time durability. Weight and balance of the knife is perfect and provides an incredible grip and hold. The weight of this knife is 455 grams, and weight of leather sheath is 133 grams. This knife is complete with a top quality thick and robust leather sheath made of high quality calf skin. The leather sheath is totally hand tooled and sewn. Extra thick leather and strong double stitching make this sheath robust which can withstand years of rough and tough use. The sheath can be worn on belt.
