This 12.90" knife was custom made by Steve William only one piece. Knife is rock solid from tip to but cap because of its robust construction and has been purpose built to withstand years and years of use. Blade of this knife is the result of hours and hours of forging. Steve William hand forged the blade, guard and but cap with 1095 and 15N20 high carbon steels forged in a stunning rain drop pattern. Not many custom makers can keep such pattern of layers upon layers flowing all the way to the edge, creating a saw blade effect at microscopic level which allows the blade to keep cutting for longer period of time when other blades have dulled. Blade has been gives excellent heat treatment and blade is oil quenched. Rockwell hardness of this gorgeous blade along its edge is 57 and along the spine is 42-45. Overall length of this unique & elegant bowie is whopping 12.90" and the length of the blade is 7.15 inches .
