There is no other knife like this, because it was custom made only one piece. From tip of the blade to the but cap, Steve William goes all the way in creating this unique, one of a kind custom knife which was purpose built to withstand years and years of use. Stunning b lade of this knife is the result of hours and hours of forging. Steve William hand forged the blade with 1095 and 15N20 high carbon steels forged in rain drop pattern . Not many custom makers can keep such pattern of layers upon layers flowing all the way to the edge, creating a saw blade effect at microscopic level which allows the blade to keep cutting for longer period of time when other blades have dulled. Blade was specially forged for an extra thickness of 6 mm which gives this bowie, extra strength, durability, striking power and performance. Rockwell hardness of the blade along its edge is 59 and along the spine is 42-45. Overall length of this unique & elegant knife is whopping 12 " and the length of the blade is 7 inches . Blade has superb hand grinds on both sides with top side left with a false edge. Spine of the blade has gorgeous filework. Rare vibrant colored camel bone looks awesome. Knife is complimented with an immaculate unique hand forged damascus guard and but cap. Weight and balance of this stunning knife is excellent and provides an incredible grip in hand. Note: You will receive the same knife as shown in the pictures. Custom Made Only One Piece The weight of this knife is 470 grams, and weight of the leather sheath is 176 grams. This knife is complete with a top quality leather sheath made of high quality calf skin. The leather sheath is totally hand tooled and sewn. Strong double stitching make this sheath robust which can withstand years of rough and tough use. The sheath can be worn on belt.
