Hello! 's the story believe it or not. I had a friend back in the late 1980's/early 1990's who was a total autograph hound. He was so persistent and had such a good personality he became friends with many famous musicians. He hung out with Pete Townsend in his hotel room, went shopping with Robert Plant at Water Tower Place in downtown Chicago and was a personal friend of Stevie Ray Vaughan. When I found this out I asked him to get me a photo of SRV autographed. He obtained this photo for me after the Alpine Valley show on the 25th of August, 1990. He called me on the 26th to tell me about it and I asked him what it said. He said: All The Best Stevie Ray Vaughan 90. I said: Didn't you get it "To Tony"? No, do you want it to? Yes of course! He was up t for both shows so he took it backstage on the 26th and had Stevie add "To Tony". This may be the last autograph Stevie ever signed as he died following the show in the infamous helicopter crash. I get a little misty just thinking about it now. Well many years have passed and it has hung prominently on my wall ever since. I have become a Christian since that time and my Savior Jesus Christ has directed me to release this item and give the money to the less fortunate.
